The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for areas of Tennessee, effective until 12:15 PM CST today, February 15, 2025.

The hardest hit localities include Montgomery County, northwestern Robertson County, and Stewart County, encompassing cities such as Clarksville, Dover, Big Rock, Adams, Cumberland City, Woodlawn, Palmyra, Indian Mound, and Land Between The Lakes.
đ´ Current Situation
According to the latest report from the National Weather Service, between 2 and 4 inches (5-10 cm) of rain have already fallen, with the possibility of an additional 2 to 4 inches falling in the next few hours. This has caused dangerous flooding on streets, roads, and low-lying areas, with a high risk of rivers and streams overflowing.
â ď¸ Risks and Precautionary Measures
Flash floods are one of the leading causes of weather-related deaths in the United States, especially when people try to cross flooded roads. To avoid tragedies, follow these recommendations:
â Do not try to cross flooded streets. Water depth can be deceptive and currents can
sweep vehicles away.
â Evacuate if necessary. If authorities order an evacuation, follow instructions and seek
shelter in safe areas.
â Stay informed. Follow official weather updates and avoid going out unless absolutely
necessary.
â Have an emergency kit ready. Include water, nonperishable food, flashlights, batteries,
and a first aid kit.
đ§ď¸ Weather Forecast
The weather in Clarksville and surrounding areas will continue to be adverse:
⢠Today, February 15: Heavy rain with thunderstorms, possible tornadoes, and strong winds.
⢠February 16: Sudden drop in temperature with cloudy skies and cold winds.
⢠February 17-21: Freezing temperatures with the possibility of snow and extreme weather.
