King Kat Tournament 2025 in Clarksville: An Epic Battle on the Cumberland River! 🎣🏆

On March 22nd, the waters of the Cumberland River in Clarksville, TN witnessed one of the most exciting competitions of the year: the King Kat Tournament. With 32 teams from 7 states competing for a total purse of $9,600, the day was filled with adrenaline, strategy, and, of course, big catches!

The King Kat Tournament isn't just a fishing competition; it's a nationally significant event that brings together top anglers, promotes tourism, and strengthens the local community. Year after year, this tournament series travels to various cities across the U.S., giving participants the opportunity to showcase their catfishing skills and compete on a high-level stage.

The Clarksville Champions 🏆

🥇 1st Place – TJ Barnes, Shannon Cheek & Tony Perrault

This team dominated the competition with a total weight of 112.24 lbs, taking home $4,500 in prize money. But their success didn't end there: they also caught the tournament's Big Fish, an impressive 61.33 lbs, adding an extra $1,000 to their winnings. An impeccable performance!

🥈 2nd Place – Casey Griffith & Nick Self

With a total catch of 94.38 lbs, this duo secured second place and earned $2,100. Their catch of 52.55 lbs also earned them the second Big Fish, adding another $500 to their prize. A great day for these anglers!

🥉 3rd Place – Neville Watkins, Christopher Vaughn, Ida Kay Vaughn & Ruby Vaughn

This team caught 70.35 lbs and won $1,000. We're highlighting Ruby Vaughn, who was crowned champion in the youth division. Future fishing legends in action! 🎣

🎣 4th Place – Tony Govea & Derek Wright

With 69.81 lbs, they secured a well-deserved fourth place and took home $500 in prize money. Great effort and dedication!
